As we here at AIArchitect gear up for our second every fantasy architecture theme issue, I've been struck by the detail and care of the images we've been sent. Every time, it seems, that we sit down to discuss one of these projects after reading a written description, our preconceived notions of what it might look like are capriciously crushed when we pulled up a rendering by visions both inspiring and intimidating.
In that spirit, here are a handful of videos (courtesy of that quintessential medium of the moment, You Tube) of architects and of their work.
Charlie Rose's oeuvre of interviews with architects are well represented, including a panel discussion between AIA Gold Medal Winners Frank Gehry and Renzon Piano, and Ada Louise Huxtable, Hon. AIA.
All three finalists (Daniel Libeskind, AIA, Massimiliano Fuksas, Hon. FAIA, Zaha Hadid, Hon. FAIA--the competition winner) of the joint Guggenheim Hermitage Museum project in Vilnius, Lithuania have brief videos.
Steven Holl, AIA, talks about his Linked Hybrid project in Beijing.
Thom Mayne, FAIA, addresses a Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) conference.

As you may know, the AIA has launched their own multimedia Web sites, first with SOLOSO (lots of video links here), and now with the Shape of America, a series of videos discussing the 150 buildings that make up the AIA's America's Favorite Architecture list.
