Old Faithful Inn is an exposed-log, wood-frame building of enormous proportions. The massive gable roof is the building’s central feature. The enormous, seven-story lobby of gnarled logs and rough-sawn wood is perhaps unique in American architecture. The inn is one of the few remaining log hotels in the country. It has influenced the rustic style of architecture seen throughout the nation’s parklands.

Doug:

Old Faithful Inn is undergoing renovation right now, and though they are behind schedule, the Inn will be open for the season this year. Right now, the Old House is looking better than ever, and structurally it has been reengineered and is more stable than before. I'd love to spend a day "geyser gazing" from the crow's nest...if they had drink service up there.

Margaret:

The restoration architects were over 400 sheets and counting in 2004. The original architectural drawings for Old Faithful Inn were contained on six sheets.

John:

The photo does not do the building justice.
