The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin are companion hotels designed by Michael Graves (2001 Gold Medalist) in association with Alan Lapidus. The Dolphin is pyramid-shaped and topped with 63-foot-tall dolphins. The Swan is rectangular and topped with 47-foot-high swans. These whimsical buildings are considered Postmodern, a movement and style closely associated with Graves.

Nice buildings, but they ruin the carefully designed vistas behind the France and United Kingdom pavillions at Epcot.

i am glad to see a building in orlando made the top 150 list.and even ,ore glad that i was one of the foreman on the swan,my brother was also a foreman on the swan. a lot of hard work was put in to this building, also in the dolphin, i will never forget seeing with my own eyes a crane boom falling to the groung with over 350 feet of boom section on it, it was like the most amazing sight i have ever witnessed. after it hit the groung it took probably 15 minutes before the dust and sand cleared enough to see the wreckage.

I've stayed at this hotel and I can safely say any culture that lauds these disgusting, immoral, and idiotic boxes as among their best buildings is doomed. Offensive in the extremis. I'm going back to Wisconsin.
