Intern Nation: How to Earn Nothing and Learn Little in the Brave New Economy

A new book , Intern Nation: How to Earn Nothing and Learn Little in the Brave New Economy, by Ross Perlin, will be published by Verso Books in May. In this book, Perlin chronicles the rise of professional internships and challenges unethical and illegal compensation practices and the companies, organizations, and institutions that perpetuate them. The publisher states that Intern Nation serves as "The first no-holds-barred exposé of the exploitative and divisive world of internships."

Perlin interviewed AIA staff members Kevin Fitzgerald and Brett Roeth during his research. The author noted that the culture of architectural inernships will be featured in the book.

One thing I have actually noticed is the fact that there are plenty of misguided beliefs regarding the banking institutions intentions if talking about foreclosure. One fairy tale in particular is the bank wishes to have your house. The lending company wants your dollars, not your property. They want the amount of money they gave you along with interest. Staying away from the bank will draw a foreclosed final result. Thanks for your write-up.
